1,704 Fire Incidents Reported In Rawalpindi During 2025

Rescue 1222 Rawalpindi reported that a total of 1,704 fire incidents were recorded across Rawalpindi district during the year 2025. Rescue teams responded promptly to all incidents and carried out effective firefighting and rescue operations.

According to Rescue officials, 111 people were affected in these fire incidents, including 4 fatalities, 44 seriously injured, and 63 with minor injuries. Rescue firefighters demonstrated professionalism and timely action, successfully controlling the fires and preventing them from spreading further.

Due to the efficient response of Rescue Rawalpindi and district rescue administration, property worth approximately Rs 2.363 billion was saved from potential damage.

Authorities stated that major causes of fire incidents included short circuits, careless smoking, gas leakage, fire in gas cylinders, and other related factors. During 2025, 59 incidents of forest fires were also reported in Rawalpindi, which were brought under control in time by rescue firefighters.

Rescue Rawalpindi continues its efforts to reduce fire incidents through the enforcement of fire safety rules, fire safety training, and public awareness programs.
