Major Petrol Price Reduction Expected From January 1

From January 1, 2026, consumers are likely to get significant relief at petrol pumps. Authorities have prepared a plan to reduce petroleum product prices for the next fifteen days following a sharp decline in international crude oil prices.

According to official sources, petrol prices are expected to decrease by around PKR 10.60 per liter, while high-speed diesel may see a reduction of PKR 8.59 per liter.

Kerosene oil prices are expected to drop from PKR 180.54 to around PKR 171.62 per liter. Light diesel oil prices may also decrease by PKR 6.62 per liter.

If approved, petrol prices will fall from PKR 263.45 to approximately PKR 252.85 per liter, high-speed diesel from PKR 265.65 to PKR 257.06 per liter, and kerosene oil from PKR 180.54 to PKR 171.62 per liter.
