Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held an important meeting with all SHO officers of police stations, issuing strict directives. He emphasized that resolving public issues is the top priority and no negligence in duty will be tolerated.
The IG instructed all SHOs to make public service their guiding principle, conduct late-night patrolling in their areas, and deploy personnel in an organized manner for security, investigation, and patrolling. Police presence must be clearly visible across all police station jurisdictions.
He further directed all officers to manage the administrative affairs of police stations professionally and to ensure immediate and effective responses in emergencies.

Strict legal action must be taken against land grabbers, drug traffickers, firing in the air, and illegal display of weapons. Arrests of wanted criminals, including fugitives with court warrants, must be ensured. Effective strategies should be implemented to prevent crime, with all officers performing their duties in complete coordination.
The IG reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property, as well as maintaining law and order, is the foremost priority.
