In the vicinity of Uthal, Lasbela, a passenger coach traveling from Karachi to Quetta caught fire, killing three people and injuring eleven more. The accident happened Friday night, reportedly, when a motorbike carrying oil and a passenger coach collided.
According to the transport sources, the coach was carrying 28 passengers from Karachi to Quetta. Following a collision with a bike, the bus caught fire, killing three of them.
When they arrived, SSP Captain (Retd) Naveed Alam and Lasbela Deputy Commissioner Humaira Baloch moved the deceased to the hospital.
Naveed stated that overtaking was the reason for the collision. He stated that after the burned-out coach has cooled down, a final damage estimate would be given.
According to Deputy Commissioner Humaira Baloch, rescue efforts were started right away.
The district administration verified that the three dead passengers’ bodies had been taken to the hospital, and investigations are being conducted to find out what started the fire.
According to the district Lasbela administration, two of the deceased were from Hub Chowki and one was from Karachi.
Following his notice of the tragedy, Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, instructed officials to treat all injured parties promptly and appropriately while also conducting a comprehensive inquiry to identify those responsible.
He also underlined how important it is to uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) in order to protect motorists and ensure passenger safety.
According to Deputy Commissioner Humaira Baloch, rescue efforts were started right away.
The Karachi-Quetta National Highway was temporarily closed as a result of the event.
