The Prime Minister is upset about the rise in gas prices

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his anger over the recent increase in gas prices and has called for an audit report. The Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry of Energy to complete 16 tasks within the next one to three months.

The tasks include a review of the performance of OGRA and gas companies, and a detailed report on gas infrastructure, gas theft, and poor performance. Additionally, an inter-ministerial commission has been established to monitor the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project. Furthermore, within the next month, a plan will be developed to create a new industrial zone to supply surplus electricity.

The Energy and Petroleum Division has also been instructed to prepare a revolving credit solution within the next two weeks.
