Switzerland: 40 Killed In Bar Explosion At Tourist Resort

At the luxury resort in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, a powerful explosion occurred in a bar, resulting in at least 40 deaths and around 100 injuries, most of them reported to be serious.

The blast happened while a large crowd was celebrating New Year’s Eve inside the bar. Following the explosion, a fire broke out, causing further damage.

Swiss authorities stated that some of the victims are foreign nationals, and the incident is not being considered an attack. The exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

According to police, the explosion occurred at 1:30 AM between Wednesday and Thursday at the popular ski resort. Investigations are ongoing by Swiss authorities and international media.
