Sudan: Drone Attack on Hospital, 67 Killed
More than (67) people, including patients, were killed in a drone attack on a hospital in the Al-Fisher area of ​​​​Sudan’s Darfur region.
Local social workers and hospital sources told the media that (67) people were killed and dozens were injured in the drone attack on the hospital.
The report said that the drone attack was carried out yesterday and (37) people were killed at the same time
And now more wounded have died and the total number of deaths has reached (67).
The governor of the region, Meni Manawi, released photos of blood-stained bodies on X-rays and said that more than 70 patients, including women and children, were killed in the drone attack.
Armed conflict continues between the paramilitary RSF and government forces in Sudan
However, it has not yet been clarified which side carried out the attack. The RSF has gained almost complete control of the western Darfur region in the fighting that began in April 2023 from the Sudanese army.
The capital of North Darfur, Al-Fashir, is surrounded by RSF personnel.
However, armed groups supported by the Sudanese army are not allowing these forces to gain control of the area and all attacks are being repelled.
During the ongoing fighting in Sudan, medical facilities have been destroyed in Al-Fashir, and Doctors Without Borders said in a statement that this month the Saudi hospital is the only medical center where surgical facilities are available.
According to official figures, eighty percent of hospitals across the country have been out of service due to fighting.
On the other hand, thousands of people have been killed so far in this terrible battle between the two forces, millions have been displaced from their areas, and a large number of the population has been deprived of basic necessities like food.
