Charsadda: In the jurisdiction of Mendni Police Station, near Hanif Petrol Pump on Mendni-2 Takht Bhai Road, unknown motorcycle riders opened fire, killing Maulana Abdus Salam.
According to police, investigations into the incident are ongoing from multiple angles. The victim’s body has been transferred to Civil Hospital Jamalabad for a post-mortem.

Maulana Abdus Salam was the principal of Madrasah Abu Bakr Siddiq in Tehsil Tangi Angur Bandi and also served as a member of the provincial Shura of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).
Authorities have condemned the attack and increased security in the area to prevent further incidents.
