According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in various parts of Punjab and Islamabad from the evening/night of December 30 to the morning of January 2, while snowfall is likely in the northern hilly areas.
During this period, Murree and the Galiyat region are expected to receive rain along with snowfall, which may further intensify cold weather conditions.
From the night of December 30 to the morning of January 2,
light rain is expected at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, the Potohar region, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura and Gujrat.
Meanwhile, from December 31 to January 1,
isolated light rain is likely in Mianwali, Bhakkar, Khushab, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargarh, Jhang, Sahiwal and surrounding areas.
