DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry briefed senior journalists, stating that the court-martial of General (R) Faiz Hameed is being conducted as a fully legal and judicial process, and unnecessary speculation should be avoided.
Regarding Afghanistan, he said Pakistan openly announces any operation it conducts, including the October operation in Afghanistan. He added that multiple committees, including military representatives, are active against terrorism, while Balochistan’s government is fully implementing the National Action Plan.
He emphasized that the army and FC are effectively managing the border. Some elements threaten to infiltrate 6,000 terrorists into Pakistan and promote “Greater Pashtunistan” narratives. Terrorists are using US weapons and bulletproof vehicles, often purchased with drug money, and several attacks have revealed US-supplied arms.
He concluded that Pakistan’s military and people are determined to win the fight against terrorism, and the country will prevail.
