The Pakistan Air Force has successfully conducted the flight test of its indigenously developed Taimoor Weapon System, marking a significant milestone in the country’s defense capabilities.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile has a range of up to 600 kilometers and is capable of accurately engaging both land and maritime targets.
ISPR stated that the missile’s low-altitude flight capability makes it highly effective in evading enemy air and missile defense systems. The Taimoor cruise missile is equipped with advanced navigation and guidance systems, ensuring precision and operational effectiveness.
The successful test has significantly enhanced the Pakistan Air Force’s conventional deterrence capability and has further strengthened Pakistan’s credible defense posture in the prevailing regional security environment. ISPR added that the achievement reflects the nation’s commitment to national security objectives, technological self-reliance, and indigenous innovation.
The flight test was witnessed by senior officers of the armed forces and scientists. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu congratulated the scientists and engineers for their professionalism and dedication.
Meanwhile, the President of Pakistan also praised the Pakistan Air Force on the successful test, stating that the indigenous development of advanced weapon systems reflects national capability, resolve, and institutional excellence. He termed the achievement a major step forward in Pakistan’s journey toward self-reliance in defense and safeguarding national sovereignty.
