The Jamia Balochistan Joint action Committee held a protest in front of the Balochistan Assembly to demand payment of salaries and pensions for the teachers and employees of Balochistan University. Male and female teachers and employees of Balochistan University participated in the protest dharna.
They expressed their concern that they had not been paid for four months due to the financial crisis at Balochistan University. The members of the provincial assembly formed a committee to discuss the issue with the protesters. The committee assured the participants that they would find a solution to the problem of salaries of Balochistan University employees.
As a result, the joint election committee of Jamia Baluchistan decided to end the sit-in but announced that they would continue to protest at the main gate of the university until the resolution was implemented. It should be noted that the employees of Balochistan University had staged a dharna in front of the assembly for non-payment of salaries for four months
