President signs Madrasa Registration Act 2024
Regarding the registration of religious madrasas, President Asif Ali Zardari signed the Societies Registration Act 2024.
The bill became law with the President’s signature, the National Assembly will soon issue the Societies Registration Act Gazette Notification.
The registrationbyasas under the law will be in accordance with the Societies Act.
It should be remembered that 2 days ago, the federal cabinet, accepting the demand of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, approved the issuance of a presidential ordinance on madrasa registration, while yesterday a delegation of the (JIF) met President Asif Zardari in Larkana, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was also present.
In addition to the political situation, there was a detailed discussion between the PPP leadership and the leaders of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sindh on the Madrasa Registration Bill, and Asif Ali Zardari assured to remove reservations on the issue and resolve the matter as soon as possible.
It should be recalled that earlier on December 12, JUI-F Senator Maulana Abdul Wasi, while addressing the Senate, had hinted at a protest in the federal capital if the Madrasa Bill was not passed.
After this, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Maulana Fazlur Rehman on December 20 and assured him of addressing his concerns.
