An incident of police officers taking bribes from a citizen in a car has been reported in Islamabad. The citizen had no documents for the vehicle, and while at Sector G-11 Nake, the officers demanded a bribe of 20,000 rupees. They threatened to lock the vehicle in the police station if the bribe was not paid. The citizen claims that the police officers demanded a bribe of 20,000 rupees, but later agreed to take a bribe of 10,000 rupees. The vehicle was eventually allowed to go. After a video of the bribe-taking surfaced, DIG Operations Islamabad suspended three police officers – Riaz Jalal, Mohammad Nawaz, and Zaheer Ahmed. it
