Court Martial Of Faiz Hameed? Ispr’s Big Announcement

Court martial proceedings have been initiated against General (retd) Faiz Hameed, in this regard he has been charge-sheeted.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on August 12, 2024, Field General Court Martial proceedings were initiated against Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (retd) under the relevant provisions of the Pakistan Army Act.

In the next Field General Court Martial phase, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (retd) has been formally chargesheeted.

According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, these charges include involvement in political activities, harming the security and interests of the state by violating the Official Secrets Act, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing undue harm to individuals.

A separate investigation is also being conducted regarding the involvement of Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (retd) in violent incidents related to chaos and unrest in the country during the Field General Court Martial process.

The investigation also includes incidents related to May 9.

According to the ISPR, the investigation also includes the intention and collusion of nefarious political elements in these numerous violent incidents.

During the process of the Field General Court Martial, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (R) is being provided with all legal rights as per the law.

On the other hand, sources say that the charge sheet against Lieutenant General (R) Faiz Hameed means that there is complete evidence against Lieutenant General (Retd) Faiz Hameed. The first and most important allegation among the many allegations is that Lieutenant General (Retd) Faiz Hameed is involved in political activities.

Sources say that the ISPR press release is also evidence that the retired officer was involved in the May 9 incidents and other previous incidents such as the protests during the appointment of the Army Chief in May 2022 and November 2022.

Similarly, the press release also proves that Lt. Gen. (retd.) Faiz Hameed was taking all these steps on the instructions and orders of Imran Khan.

Imran Khan is the head of a political party. The real culprit is the political leadership of PTI, which used this officer for its political interests.

According to sources, after the charge sheet of the allegations, a formal court martial has been initiated and in this regard, pension and service may be forfeited in case of conviction.

While violation of the Secrets Act can lead to 14 years in prison and misuse of powers can also lead to fines and punishment.
