Sahib Jan, who works as a plumber at the University of Balochistan in Quetta, received a gas bill in December when the ground shifted from under his feet.
According to the gas bill received last month by a resident of a two-room mud house in Kali Almas, a suburb of Quetta city, he had used gas worth eight and a half lakh rupees in November 2023.
In our house, gas is used only for making two meals a day and tea. There is no geyser or tank in the house, so how can such a big bill come.
Mr. John had also paid the previous Sui Gas bill of Rs.47 thousand and there were no outstanding arrears against him.
“I never left a single month’s bill unpaid. I don’t know why the bill is so high this time.
