Will Not Be Part Of Any Global Conflict: Army Chief
Army Chief General Asim Munir has said that we will continue to play our role for peace and stability in the world, but we will not be a part of any global conflict.
Speaking at the special ceremony of Margalla Dialogue 2024 in Islamabad, Army Chief General Asim Munir said that the world has faced many challenges in recent years, among which the rapid spread of false and misleading information is an important challenge.
With many changes in the world, the increasing influence of non-state actors is also an important challenge.
He said that inequality, intolerance, and division based on religion, sect, and ethnicity are increasing at the global level.
Endless changes are taking place in the economy, forces, and technology at the global level, violent non-state actors and state-sponsored terrorism are major challenges at the global level.
Our commitment to the fight against terrorism is unwavering as terrorism is a common challenge to all humanity at the global level.
The Army Chief said that our common objectives include major challenges such as tackling climate change, fighting terrorism, and providing global health.
Pakistan is playing an important role in peace and stability in the world and the region.
General Asim Munir further said that commitment to stability is an important component of the National Action Plan which aims to eliminate terrorism and extremism.
Fitna-ul-Khawarij has become the home of all the terrorist organizations and proxies of the world, Pakistan expects the Afghan interim government to not allow the use of Afghan soil for terrorism and to take strict measures in this regard.
The Army Chief said that due to India’s extremist ideology, minorities are not safe abroad, especially in America, Britain, and Canada.
India’s cruelty and brutality in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is also a continuation of Hindutva ideology and policy, the solution of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir according to the UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people is inevitable.
He said that Pakistan has always called for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, and has sent humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon several times.
Pakistan has always insisted on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, we will not be part of any global conflict but will continue to play our role for peace and stability in the world.
The Army Chief said that Pakistan is a country of 24 crore people, of which 63 percent are under 30 years of age.
