Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in his message on the International Day of the Elderly said that today the World Day of the Elderly is being celebrated all over the world including Pakistan.
Today I offer my heartiest congratulations to the most respected senior citizens of Pakistan.
He said that I acknowledge his immense and invaluable services in our society. Senior citizens are the custodians of our history.
Amen of wisdom and wisdom are the charms that keep our families together. Thanks to them, our homes are always bright and the transmission of culture to our generations is possible.
He said that the theme chosen for this year reflects the importance of our duty to protect the rights and welfare of our elderly.
The government of Pakistan is committed to respecting the rights of the elderly. Shahbaz Sharif said that the government will continue to ensure the implementation of policies to ensure their active participation in improving the quality of life of elderly citizens.
It is our vision that the elderly in our society should be empowered so that no elderly person feels devalued.
The Prime Minister said that his voice should be heard and he should continue to play his key role in society with his wisdom and insight. Our elders are the real guides for our younger generation.
He further said that it is important for the new generation to learn from the wisdom and invaluable experiences of their elders to build a better sustainable, tolerant, and compassionate Pakistani society. Let us work together to build a tolerant society.
