Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s determination to increase cooperation with Maldives in the fields of climate change, trade, tourism, education and investment.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister House, a meeting has been held between the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif and the President of Maldives Dr. Muhammad Muizhu on the occasion of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the statement, during the meeting, the two leaders reiterated their determination to further strengthen the deep ties between Pakistan and Maldives.
The two leaders agreed on the need to increase joint efforts and exchanges of delegations of people and institutions of the two countries to promote sustainable economic development in their respective countries.
The two leaders also highlighted the common responsibilities of South Asian countries to work together for peace, prosperity and stability in the region.
