Rs 14 per unit relief to electricity consumers from the Punjab government will not be available to consumers using up to 200 units.
Sources say that the government did not increase the cost of electricity for those who use 200 units per month.
Users up to 200 units are already protected users.
According to Punjab government, consumers with 201 units to 500 units will be given a relief of Rs 14 in electricity bills.
14 per unit will be deducted from the total unit and after adding all taxes,
After adding taxes, it becomes 44 rupees per unit, then 14 rupees relief will be given out of it, so after the relief, the consumer will have to pay 30 rupees per unit.
According to the sources, the relief in electricity tariff will be applied in the bills of August and September 2024.
According to the spokesman of the provincial government, the work has been started on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz is working day and night to provide relief and facilities to the people of Punjab.
