Three More Ex-Pakistan Army Officers Taken Into Custody: ISPR

After the arrest of former DGISI Lieutenant General (R) Faiz Hameed, 3 retired army officers were taken into custody.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, the three retired officers were found guilty of violating military discipline.

An investigation will be conducted against the three retired officers for court martial proceedings.

ISPR said that 3 retired officers were found involved in a violation of military discipline.

These officers were fomenting instability with the connivance of certain political interests.

Spokesman Pakistan Army said that the detained officers include Brigadier (Rtd) Ghaffar, Brigadier (Rtd) Naeem, and a colonel rank officer.

Both the Brigadiers hailing from Chakwal District of Punjab, both Brigadiers were in touch with Lt Gen (Rtd) Faiz Hameed and worked as messengers for a political party.

The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army further said that the three officers were taken into custody in connection with the court-martial proceedings, while the investigation is also being conducted against these retired officers and their colleagues.

It should be noted that a few days ago former DGISI Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed was also taken into custody for violation of military discipline, field court martial proceedings are ongoing against him.
