Turkey-Pakistan Trade Volume To Increase To $5 Billion

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is taking steps on a priority basis to increase the trade volume with Turkey to 5 billion dollars annually.

A high-level delegation of Turkish investors met with the Prime Minister under the leadership of the Turkish Minister of Trade and Customs, Dr. Umar Bolat.

While during the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the visit of the delegation of Turkish investors to Pakistan.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the ideal brotherly relations between the people of Turkey and Pakistan span centuries.

Turkey and Pakistan are one nation and two states, and the government of Pakistan wants to promote trade relations between the two countries.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has agreed to increase the trade volume between Pakistan and Turkey from the current level to 5 billion dollars annually.

Steps are being taken on a priority basis to bring the trade volume to 5 billion dollars annually.

The Prime Minister also directed the concerned authorities to provide all facilities to Turkish investors for investment in Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif reiterated the invitation to the President of Turkey to visit Pakistan soon and said that the people of Pakistan are looking forward to the visit of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The visit of the Turkish investment delegation will be a welcome development for increasing Turkish investment in Pakistan.

The Turkish Minister of Trade said that the current investment volume of 54 Turkish investment companies in Pakistan is 3.5 billion dollars.

The Turkish investors expressed their satisfaction with the political and economic stability in Pakistan and also thanked the Prime Minister for the generous assistance provided by Pakistan to the affected Turkish brothers and sisters in the 2023 earthquake.
