The government has given a big relief in the price of petrol and diesel for the next 15 days on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
OGRA sent the Prime Minister a summary of price revisions of petroleum products, in which it was proposed to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 6 17 paise and the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 10 86 paise.
Similarly, a reduction in the price of kerosene oil by Rs 6 32 paise and light diesel price by Rs 5 72 paise was proposed.
The Prime Minister approved the summary of Ogra, after which the new price of petrol changed from Rs 275.60 to Rs 269.43, the price of high speed diesel changed to Rs 272.77 from Rs 283.63, the cost of kerosene changed to Rs 177.39 from Rs 183.71 and the price of light diesel changed to Rs 177.39. 166.25 to Rs 160.53.
The new prices of petroleum products will be applicable for the next 15 days.
In summary, it has been said that the price of petroleum products has fluctuated in the international market for the past fifteen days.
Domestic consumer prices need to be adjusted accordingly.
