According to the report of the Telegraph, the seat of the chancellor of Oxford University is held by the former governor of Hong Kong and he has held the position of chancellor for 21 years. It has become vacant after the resignation of 80-year-old Lord Patten.
Graduates of Oxford University will have the opportunity to contest this election, usually only politicians are given chancellorship. According to the report, former British prime ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson are among the chancellorship candidates.
Imran Khan’s advisor Syed Zulfi Bukhari told foreign media on this matter that ‘Imran Khan will contest the election for Chancellor of Oxford University.
