8 army soldiers were martyred in a suicide blast during the terrorist attack on Bannu cantonment.
According to ISPR, on the morning of July 15, a group of 10 terrorists attacked the Bannu cantonment and the security forces foiled their attempt to enter the cantonment.
According to ISPR, the terrorists rammed a vehicle full of explosives against the wall of the cantonment, due to which 8 brave jawans were martyred in the suicide blast.
The martyred include Naib Subidar Muhammad Shahzad, Havaldar Zal Hussain, Havaldar Shahzad Ahmed, Sepoy Ashfaq Hussain Khan, Sepoy Subhan Majeed, Sepoy Imtiaz Khan, Sepoy Arsalan Aslam and Lance Naik Sabz Ali of FC.
According to the spokesman of the Pakistan Army, a part of the wall collapsed as a result of the suicide blast, and the adjacent infrastructure was also damaged.
According to ISPR, the security forces engaged the terrorists in the clearance operation and all 10 terrorists were killed.
According to ISPR, this heinous act of terrorism was carried out by the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, which operates from Afghanistan.
According to ISPR, this group has been using Afghan soil for terrorist activities in Pakistan in the past, and the interim government of Afghanistan should take effective action against such elements.
