The National Emergency Operation Center of NDMA has issued an alert for the next 24 hours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In its report, NDMA says that more rains are expected in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Charsadda, Chitral, Lower and Upper Chitral, Mansehra, Peshawar, Shangla, and Swat.
In the case of continuous and heavy rains, there is a risk of flooding in cities and the inundation of rivers and landslides in mountainous areas.
Officials said that the provincial institutions have been alerted to prepare for the emergency, and instructions have been given to ensure the availability of necessary equipment, machinery, and rescue personnel in the danger areas.
NDMA has requested the public to be aware of the situation and be aware of flood and landslide situations, weather reports, and updates.
People are advised to avoid crossing flood channels and entering flood waters, and tourists and travelers are requested to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rains and possible flash floods and landslides.
Pak NDMA has introduced a Disaster Alert application to ensure timely access of information and alerts to the public.
