According to the post of DGP PDM, 15 to 50 mm of rain is expected in the first week of July, 25 to 35 mm of rain is expected in the second week of July, 15 to 25 mm in the third week of July in Upper Punjab and South Punjab.
The post said that 50 to 70 mm rains are expected in the fourth week of July, Heavy rains with thundershowers are expected in Upper Punjab, Central Punjab, and South Punjab, and Urban flooding due to Monsoon rains in July and South Punjab. There is a danger of hill torrents.
Given the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the relevant departments have been alerted, the district administration should ensure all safety measures before the monsoon rains, clean the rivers, and complete the drainage arrangements as soon as possible. GPDMA Irfan Kathiaka said that the losses of natural calamities can be avoided with cooperation and early arrangements, the protection of the life and property of citizens is the priority and there is no room for negligence or irresponsibility.
