CDA Announces a Paid 6-Month Internship Program for Fresh Graduates

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has made available to recent graduates a six-month paid internship program across multiple departments within the organization.

A CDA official told APP, “The internship program will start in June 2024 to provide young graduates an opportunity to gain experience and start their professional careers in the different fields.”

According to him, the selected applicants will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 40,000 for their six-month internship in one of the CDA’s departments.

He said that in order to be eligible, candidates had to have finished their four-year bachelor’s degree in business administration or management, marketing, or computer sciences at a government-approved university within the previous three years.

Candidates who are awaiting results, according to the official, are not eligible for the internship program.

Regarding the application process, he stated that only electronic submissions would be considered. The forms can be accessed and completed at https://apps.cda.gov.pk/Jobs/Internship; incomplete submissions will not be considered for further consideration.

He declared that applications without the necessary information would not be shortlisted and that applications turned in in person would not be accepted.

If you experience any technical difficulties submitting your application, please call 051-925-2959.

According to the official, candidates may submit their online applications within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication date. TA or DA will not be permitted.

He explained that the candidates with consistently strong academic records will be shortlisted for interview, and that the percentage of marks earned in the SSC, HSSC, bachelor’s, or equivalent, will be given corresponding weightage, with each candidate receiving 30 out of a possible 90 points.

He announced that the CDA website will host the interviewees’ names along with comprehensive guidelines.

The CDA will have the final say over the number of interns, placement, assignment of duties, and internship termination.

Nonetheless, he stated that interns may also request in writing to have their internship terminated with 15 days’ notice; however, in such circumstances, they will not be given an internship completion certificate.

According to the official, students who completed their internships under a previous program will not have their applications accepted.

According to him, the internship is not an offer of employment, nor is it a term that can be extended, and it will not grant any right to employment or regularization.

The interns will only be eligible for the above-mentioned lump-sum stipend and will be subject to the CDA’s rules regarding confidentiality and disciplinary actions.
