It should be noted that the passport fee was also increased last month on the instructions of the federal government. The normal fee has been increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 4500 while the urgent fee has been increased from Rs 5000 to Rs 7500. The ten-year passport fee has been increased from Rs 4,500 to Rs 6,700 and the 10-year urgent passport fee has been increased from Rs 7,500 to Rs 11,200.
