The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce the squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 within the next couple of days. The board will also announce the team for the upcoming tour of Ireland and England, which is scheduled for May. The ICC has set a May 1 deadline for teams to submit their squad for the mega tournament, which is set to commence in June.
However, changes can be made until May 25. Any change after that will require approval from the ICC. The PCB is also planning to hold a brief camp for the national side before their departure to Ireland on May 7.
The team will play three T20Is against Ireland and then four matches against England. After that, they will fly off to the United States for the World Cup. The former cricketer Azhar Mahmood will assume responsibilities as an assistant coach for both formats.
