As per the latest information received from sources, the authority of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to create posts of experts and professionals has been abolished.
The federal cabinet approved the recommendations to end the Prime Minister’s authority to create these posts, and the responsibility has now been handed over to Ministers, Ministers of State, Advisors, and Secretaries. There is a plan to appoint experts and professionals in Ministries and Divisions, and these posts will now be created in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and the Establishment Division.
The appointments of consultants will be made with the approval of the concerned Minister, Minister of State, or Advisor. In the case of Associates and Young Professionals, the approval of the Secretary concerned will be necessary. However, for the appointment of Technical Advisors, the approval of the Prime Minister will be required. The appointment process will be completed through a competitive process and a special selection board. Significant progress has been made on the issue of important appointments, and this new system will ensure that appointments are made fairly and in a transparent manner.
