A three-member delegation from the American Embassy recently visited Adiala Jail and was granted consular access to convicted murderer Zahir Jafar. The delegation, consisting of Michael Murphy, Osama Hanif, and Naveed Ghazi, met with Jafar in the Deputy Superintendent’s room for approximately 30 minutes before departing the jail. Jafar had been convicted in the murder case of Noor Muqaddam, the daughter of a former diplomat, and is currently serving his sentence.
