Pakistan Railways has set a new world record for running the longest freight train in history.

In Lahore, Pakistan Railways ran the longest freight train in history. The train was 2500 feet long and consisted of 50 coaches. It was powered by a very powerful engine. According to Tarman Railway, the freight train traveled 3 thousand kilometers from Karachi and carried more than tons of cargo to Kotri. The train was able to reach a speed of up to 60 km per hour while maintaining an average speed of 38 km per hour. Tarman Railway also stated that this train can carry more weight than 94 two-wheeler trucks. By transporting more goods via rail, it will reduce traffic pressure on the road and decrease environmental pollution
