Discussions in the meeting focused on promoting economic cooperation. And increasing scholarship opportunities for Pakistani students in American higher education institutions.
The need for joint efforts between the United States and Punjab. To address climate change was also discussed. Maryam Nawaz Sharif commended the US Consul General’s efforts. To enhance relations between Punjab and the US. Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb was also present at the meeting.
Regarding business and economic development. Maryam Nawaz shared her ambition of making Punjab an economic hub. She stressed the government’s role in providing facilities for the business community. And promised to cut red tape and other barriers. She promised to provide a method via which all business registrations could be completed. Under one roof, current government firms will be converted into public-private partnerships.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her vision of inclusive governance. Stating that she aims to serve as the Chief Minister for the entire Punjab, with open doors for all. She emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.
