The 149th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is being observed today across the country with devotion, respect, and national enthusiasm. A public holiday has been declared nationwide on this occasion.
In Karachi, a dignified guard changing ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid, where a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute. Army cadets formally took over the guard duties at the mausoleum. Major General Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry (Hilal-e-Imtiaz) was the chief guest at the ceremony.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, various official and non-official events are being organized across the country. These events pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s tireless struggle for the Muslims of the subcontinent and his historic role in the creation of Pakistan. Seminars and special programs are being held by educational institutions, government departments, and different organizations.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi. By profession, he was a distinguished lawyer and a visionary statesman. Through his exceptional leadership, political insight, and principled struggle, he turned the dream of an independent homeland into reality.
Faith, Unity, and Discipline were the core principles of Quaid-e-Azam’s life and philosophy. His vision was of a Pakistan where every citizen enjoys equal rights, freedom, and justice. Despite the presence of prominent leaders such as Nehru, Gandhi, and Patel, Quaid-e-Azam succeeded in securing a separate homeland for the Muslims, altering the course of history. He stands among the great leaders who achieved freedom for Muslims on the basis of the Two-Nation Theory, a contribution that will always be remembered.
The Pakistan Armed Forces, the Army Chief, and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, also paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to Quaid-e-Azam’s vision of a strong, sovereign, democratic, and prosperous Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and said that the Father of the Nation preached principles of religious harmony, social tolerance, equality, and justice without discrimination, which continue to serve as a guiding light for the nation.
Tribute to Founder of Pakistan: ISPR Releases New Patriotic Song ‘Paigham-e-Quaid’
On the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a new patriotic song titled “Paigham-e-Quaid”, paying tribute to the Founder of Pakistan.
The song reflects Quaid-e-Azam’s teachings, the sacrifices made for the creation of Pakistan, and the historic struggle of the nation. It also highlights national resilience and determination against the designs of adversaries.
According to ISPR, the song beautifully honors Quaid-e-Azam’s visionary leadership and principled struggle, emphasizing the ideals that shaped the nation.
“Paigham-e-Quaid” serves as a renewal of Quaid-e-Azam’s thoughts and symbolizes a secure and dignified future for Pakistan. Released on Quaid-e-Azam Day, the song also mirrors the deep love and devotion of the nation for its Father of the Nation.
