Former PTI leader Imran Ismail claimed that several people within PTI do not want to see the party’s founder, Imran Khan, released from prison.
Imran Ismail, who served as Sindh Governor during the PTI government, said that the party’s old members believe political dialogue is the only way forward. He also mentioned that senior leaders of PML-N are willing to play their role in negotiations.
The former leader added that governments prefer to work in a positive atmosphere and deliver better performance. He stated, “We are representing the people of Pakistan.”
It is worth noting that in October, former PTI leaders met PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI), where he was brought for treatment. Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, and ex-MNA Mehmood Moulvi attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on the current political situation of the country, with special attention to political matters concerning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). At the time, the meeting was considered an important political development.
