A grand ceremony was held at GHQ in honor of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, appointed as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF). During the event, tri-service troops presented a Guard of Honor to the Chief of Defence Forces.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir was also honored with Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Hilal-e-Jurat for his distinguished services. The Chief of Defence Forces inspected the ceremonial troops while senior military officers attended the prestigious event.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Naval Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, and other high-ranking officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The ceremonial troops rendered a general salute to the guest of honor.
The event was organized to recognize and celebrate the appointment of Field Marshal Asim Munir as Pakistan’s first CDF. The ceremony reflected the strength, discipline, and coordination of Pakistan’s armed forces, highlighting the leadership and service of the newly appointed Chief of Defence Forces.
