Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that the protection of Pakistan’s territory, national sovereignty, and the safety of every citizen remain the top priority of the Pakistan Army, and no compromise will be made in this regard.
According to ISPR, participants of National Security Workshop–27 visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) today, where they were given a comprehensive briefing on the national and regional security environment. The workshop, an important program of the National Defence University, brings together parliamentarians, senior civil and military officers, academics, and representatives of civil society on a single platform for in-depth understanding of national security issues.
During a special interactive session, the participants also held discussions with Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The Army Chief highlighted the evolving regional security landscape, increasing geopolitical tensions, cross-border terrorism, and the challenges of hybrid warfare.
He stated that despite foreign-sponsored terrorism and information warfare, Pakistan’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement institutions continue to safeguard national security with complete professionalism, dedication, and unwavering resolve.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said that Pakistan is a dignified nation and will secure its rightful place in the international community. He added that the professional excellence and commitment displayed by the Pakistan Army during the “Battle of Truth” have further enhanced the country’s global reputation.
He emphasized that national unity is Pakistan’s greatest strength and reaffirmed that, through collective resolve, the nation will defeat all hostile agendas. Participants were also briefed on ongoing actions against illegal activities such as smuggling, drug trafficking, organized crime networks, and measures being taken for border management and the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals.
The Field Marshal reiterated that safeguarding Pakistan’s territorial integrity and citizens is the foremost priority of the Pakistan Army. He stressed that sustainable peace, stability, and prosperity require coordinated national efforts alongside federal and provincial governments. He assured that the Army will continue to extend full cooperation to all state institutions.
