This year’s edition recorded the highest international participation ever, with over 850 buyers from more than 80 countries attending. Prominent global groups were present, including Shanxi Zhong Wang Food Group, JCOF, CMEC Group, AHC OF New Chains, Tropical Food Manufacturing, Fuzhou Yufeng Yuan, Gnam Group (Sri Lanka), Cargills Ceylon, Bernas Malaysia, Khaishin Trading, PT Lars Mans Outama Indonesia, Suria Foods UK, Shapins & Company Belgium, Exotique City, Migros Turkey, Sunar, along with major importers and distributors from the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, East Africa, Europe, North America, and Australia. Their presence highlights the growing global confidence in Pakistani agricultural, food, and processed products.

The event was formally inaugurated by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, alongside TDAP CEO Faiz Ahmed, TDAP Secretary Shaharyar Taj, former TDAP CEO Zubair Motiwala, ambassadors, FPCCI Vice President, and key business and government officials. The senior leadership held important meetings with delegations from Qatar, China, Italy, Sri Lanka, and ITC, discussing ways to strengthen bilateral trade, enhance value-added agro-food production, and meet market access requirements.

Pakistan’s regulatory authorities also engaged with officials from Bernas Malaysia, Jakam Halal Management Division, PT Surveyor Indonesia (BUMN), Pack Trade Mission Sri Lanka, Ministry of Agriculture Ethiopia, Direction de la Protection des Vegetaux Senegal, Food Safety & Quality Authority Gambia, and Ministry of Agriculture and Plant Protection Côte d’Ivoire. Discussions focused on SPS cooperation, mutual recognition of certifications, and measures to boost agricultural exports, enhancing Pakistan’s compliance and competitiveness in the global food supply chain.

On the opening day, two key side events were held. A panel discussion on value addition in processed foods brought industry leaders together to discuss product expansion, competitiveness, and access to high-value global markets. Another seminar addressed MRL and aflatoxin issues in rice, covering global regulatory standards, testing protocols, and effective strategies to enhance the quality and export readiness of Pakistani rice.

Initial observations from the first day showed strong interest in rice, sesame, spices, frozen foods, seafood, fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy ingredients, honey, organic products, and private-label manufacturing. Several international buyers have already expressed interest in long-term purchases and partnerships with Pakistani exporters.

The Global Cuisine Show demonstrated how Pakistani ingredients can be incorporated into international cuisines. This year’s highlight was the presence of Michelin-recognized chefs, who prepared live dishes using Pakistani ingredients such as basmati rice, mangoes, Himalayan pink salt, spices, seafood, and premium meat. Visitors experienced French, Italian, Turkish, Thai, Brazilian, Mexican, Azerbaijani, Georgian, and Southeast Asian cuisines prepared with local produce. This showcase not only celebrated global flavors but also provided buyers with a first-hand experience of Pakistan’s diverse and high-quality products. Alongside chefs and buyers, TDAP invited international content creators and food storytellers to document the event, from live cooking sessions to behind-the-scenes visits to local producers.

The 2025 edition is set to further enhance Pakistan’s global position in terms of geographic representation and international food standards. Through the Global Cuisine Show, Pakistan is being presented as a trusted, high-quality partner, boosting trade facilitation and exports in the food industry.

Food Ag Pakistan 2025 has solidified Pakistan’s role as an emerging food and agriculture trade hub in the region. The extensive global participation, government-business engagement, and technical discussions indicate bright prospects for a significant increase in Pakistan’s agro-food exports.
