International Cricket Reflects Pakistan’s Peace AND Stability: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif hosted a luncheon at the Prime Minister’s House, Islamabad, in honor of the cricket teams of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe participating in the Tri-Nation Series.

The Prime Minister praised the players, stating that the passion, skill, and commitment shown by all three teams in the series were highly commendable. He said that all players were representing their countries in the best possible manner.

He urged the players to demonstrate true sportsmanship and mutual respect during the matches, setting an example for the younger generation.

The Prime Minister also appreciated the Pakistan Cricket Board, noting that under the leadership of Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the PCB had successfully organized the series with excellent arrangements, effective planning, and professional management.

He added that the continued hosting of international cricket in Pakistan reflects the country’s positive image, peace, and stability. The ongoing Tri-Nation Series is offering cricket fans high-quality and competitive cricket.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the series would further strengthen friendship and cooperation among Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe, and that Pakistan would continue to host teams from around the world in the future.

The luncheon was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Sri Lankan High Commissioner Rear Admiral Fred Seniviratne, and Zimbabwean High Commissioner Titus Abu-Basutu.
