Pakistan–Qatar Enter New Era of Economic, Defense Cooperation

A new phase of economic, defense, and agricultural cooperation has begun between Pakistan and Qatar. This progress has been made possible with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and promoting investment and technological exchange.

During a recent high-level meeting in Doha, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari met Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Saud. Both leaders agreed to enhance cooperation in the defense sector, agriculture, and investment.

Rising Pakistan–Qatar Cooperation to Boost Defense Industry and Exports

The two sides emphasized initiatives for joint military exercises, defense technology collaboration, and the exchange of professional expertise. Qatar’s Defense Minister praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and expressed a strong interest in expanding defense cooperation.

Experts believe that the deepening economic and defense ties between the two nations will open new avenues for Pakistan’s defense industry and exports. Moreover, bilateral cooperation is expected to boost modern technology, agricultural productivity, and foreign investment, with SIFC continuing to play a pivotal role in Pakistan’s economic, agricultural, and defense development.
