In South Waziristan, the Frontier Corps (FC) arrested a suicide bomber during an operation. According to security sources, the captured bomber revealed alarming details about how the Afghan Taliban and the faction Fatah-ul-Khawarij are using young people for terrorist activities.
The arrested bomber was identified as Nematullah, son of Musa Jan, a resident of Kandahar province, Afghanistan, and a student of Kandahar Johariah Madrassa. In his confessional statement, he said that people at the madrassa told them that jihad against Pakistan was justified.
Nematullah explained that he and his group gathered in Khost and crossed into Pakistan via Chiwar, reaching Barwand in South Waziristan, where a Taliban center was located. He revealed that their commander trained them in suicide attacks, including vehicle-borne attacks and assaults on check posts and military personnel. The group consisted of 20 young men aged 18 to 22.
During the training, Nematullah heard the call to prayer (Adhan) and realized that the Pakistani army soldiers were also Muslims, and therefore, attacking them would be forbidden (Haram). This realization led him to refuse participation in the attacks.
Security sources stated that these revelations prove that the Afghan Taliban are actively indoctrinating young people and encouraging them to engage in terrorist activities against Pakistan’s armed forces.
