Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has said that practical measures are essential to end terrorism originating from Afghan soil against Pakistan.
In a statement, he welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached in Doha last night, calling it a positive first step toward peace and stability.
He appreciated the constructive role of brotherly countries Qatar and Türkiye and said that the upcoming meeting in Istanbul will focus on developing a credible monitoring mechanism to ensure effective implementation of the agreement.
Ishaq Dar emphasized that immediate and concrete actions are crucial to prevent further loss of lives, adding that Pakistan will continue all diplomatic and practical efforts to achieve this goal.
