Security Forces Kill 8 Militants in Major Operation in Sultan Khel: Lakki Marwat

Security forces conducted a major operation in the Sultan Khel area of Lakki Marwat, resulting in the killing of eight militants. The operation was carried out on October 16, 2025, based on verified intelligence reports indicating the presence of proxy militants of the Afghan Taliban in the area.

During the operation, the forces conducted aerial and ground surveillance, tracked the militants’ movements, and launched an immediate strike. A large cache of modern weapons, ammunition, suicide jackets, and communication devices was recovered from the slain militants.

According to security sources, these militants had been involved in various recent attacks and acts of sabotage targeting security forces. After the completion of the search operation, the area was declared clear.

Over the past four days, a total of 102 militants sent by the Afghan Taliban have been neutralized in Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan, and Tank. Security operations under the National Action Plan continue without discrimination.

Authorities have urged the public to report any suspicious individuals or activities to nearby security agencies promptly, to help eliminate elements threatening the state of Pakistan.
