Lahore: 253 Arrested in 25 Cases Registered Over TLP’s Violent Protests

Police have continued their crackdown against the recent violent protests by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in Lahore and Muridke, registering 25 FIRs and arresting 253 individuals so far. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the arrested suspects are accused of damaging public and government property, blocking roads, and attacking law enforcement personnel during the protests. Police officials said CCTV footage and mobile videos are being analyzed to identify more culprits involved in the unrest, and further arrests are expected. Sources confirmed that strict legal action will be taken against all those found guilty. At the same time, heavy police deployment has been ensured at sensitive locations in Lahore and Muridke to maintain law and order.
