CCTV Cameras to Be Installed in All Balochistan Buses

Quetta: An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary Provincial Transport Authority Balochistan, Waheed Sharif Umarani, to discuss measures for installing CCTV cameras in passenger buses across the province and ensuring an effective recording system.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the transport union and officers from relevant departments. Participants exchanged detailed views on improving the security and monitoring system of passenger buses in the province. It was decided that modern CCTV cameras would be installed in all passenger buses, and recordings would be securely stored to enable prompt action in the event of any untoward incident.

Secretary Transport Waheed Sharif Umarani stated that passenger safety is the top priority of the Balochistan government. He added that the implementation of the CCTV and recording system would not only improve security but also facilitate a quick response in cases of accidents, crimes, and other issues.

Additionally, a central monitoring cell will be established to efficiently oversee the movement of buses and regularly check the recordings. Representatives of the transport union welcomed this decision and assured full cooperation with the government.

The Secretary directed the relevant departments to implement the decision immediately so that the system becomes fully operational across the province within the next few weeks.
