Earthquake Tremors in Quetta, Magnitude 5.0 Recorded
Tremors of a magnitude 5.0 earthquake were felt in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.
The Earthquake Monitoring Center reported that the epicenter of the quake was located 65 kilometers west of Quetta. Following the tremors, people came out of their homes reciting the Kalma Tayyiba.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), no immediate reports of casualties or property damage have been received.
It is worth noting that yesterday, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the quake was recorded at 8:59 PM near 22 kilometers southeast of Pattan, at a depth of 31 kilometers.
Earlier this week, tremors of magnitude 3.2 were also felt in different parts of Karachi. The PMD reported that these tremors were recorded 7 kilometers northwest of Malir.
Previously, in September, the PMD reported a 5.5-magnitude earthquake in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with tremors felt in Chitral, Peshawar, and Swat.
