Security forces in Balochistan’s Sherani district carried out an intelligence-based operation on October 1, killing seven Indian-sponsored terrorists.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched after receiving credible information about the presence of terrorists. Their hideout was effectively targeted, and following an intense exchange of fire, seven terrorists were eliminated. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosive material was also recovered.
ISPR stated that the slain terrorists were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area. A clearance operation is underway to trace other militants. The military reaffirmed its resolve to completely eradicate Indian-backed terrorism from Pakistan and bring all facilitators to justice.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the successful operation and lauded the professionalism of the security forces. He said the timely action of the forces foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists.
“The nation stands shoulder to shoulder with our brave forces in the fight against terrorism,” the minister added, highlighting that such operations are vital for lasting peace in Balochistan.
