Flood Victims Assured Full Support by Pakistan Army

Kasur/Multan: Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HI (J), visited flood relief camps in Kasur Sector and Jalalpur Pirwala (Multan) to review the ongoing rescue and relief operations.

During the visit, the Army Chief received a detailed briefing on the flood situation and relief efforts. Speaking with the civil administration, he emphasized the importance of good governance and people-centered development, stating that Pakistan cannot bear the annual loss of lives and property, and urged accelerated infrastructure development and flood prevention measures.

Meeting with the flood-affected people, Field Marshal Asim Munir assured them of complete support and timely rehabilitation. The victims expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Pakistan Army for prompt assistance.

The Army Chief also appreciated the dedication and tireless efforts of Pakistan Army personnel, Rescue 1122, and police officials involved in rescue operations, highlighting that the joint efforts of civil and military institutions are a shining example of public service.

Later, he conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas along the Lahore-Kasur and Multan-Jalalpur Pirwala routes to assess the damage and relief activities directly.

The visit was attended by Corps Commander Lahore and Corps Commander Multan, along with the Chief Secretary Punjab and senior officers of the civil administration.
