Jaffar Express Derails Near Jacobabad After Explosion
Jacobabad: The Jaffar Express, which was going from Peshawar to Quetta, met with a horrific accident near Jacobabad.
According to initial reports, six bogies of the train derailed, while several passengers were injured in the accident.
Railway sources said that the incident took place near the cattle market, where an explosion was heard on the railway track, as a result of which the bogies of the train went out of control and derailed.
Police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot, and the area has been cordoned off.
According to the police, the bomb disposal squad has also been called to investigate the nature of the explosion.
According to reports so far, no casualties have been confirmed; however, medical assistance is being provided to the affected passengers.
The incident has once again raised questions about the security of the railways. The relevant authorities have launched an investigation.
